Written by Kelly Sheehy, Content Specialist, Downtown Main Library If there’s one thing we’ve learned in the past two months, it’s that coronavirus is no match for the passion of the Library community. A few short weeks after temporarily closing our buildings to the public, your Librarians and staff members put their creative minds together to bring many of the in-person Library events you love streaming live into your living room. Since launching our livestream events on social media you’ve joined us for more than 25 programs, collectively viewed upwards of 59,000 times! As we ramp up drive-thru pick up for holds this month , beginning a phased approach to bringing back some of the Library services you love, we’ll continue to bring you storytimes, Lunch & Learns, Bad Art Night , Writer-in-Residence workshops, and more until we can safely see each other in person again.
